If you answered YES to any of the questions, consider applying to Higher Edge. We are a free program that supports students getting into AND through college.
We begin speaking with potential students in the spring of their junior year, prioritizing New London residents.
Higher Edge CAP Criteria
- Be a rising high school senior (Class of 2027) planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree
- Be a first-generation college student (meaning neither parent or legal guardian has completed a four year bachelor’s degree in the US) OR qualify for free or reduced price school meals/qualify for fee waiver (SAT, ACT, AP)
- Are not participating in another college access program
Students Must Also Meet At Least One of the Following Requirements:
- Parent/Guardian/Caregiver does not have a Bachelor’s Degree from the US
- Qualify for free/reduced lunch

Student Commitment: Actively participating in the College Access Program entails communication and participation in advisor meetings, workshop attendance, and program activities/events. Students must complete the College Access Program to be eligible for the Success Program.
