Getting students to and through college.

Dear Friend of Higher Edge,

These Class of 2020 high school graduates began their college journey by participating in our College Access Program (CAP) which serves up to 70 students annually! Once enrolled, most transition to the Success Program which currently serves over 150 college students.

If you share our belief that all young people should have equal opportunity to pursue their educational goals and dreams, please invest in our work to help limited-income and first generation* college bound students get to and through college. With a caring, experienced staff, Higher Edge creates a relationship and trusting partnership with every student so that they have the tools and mentoring they need to navigate this positive path to a bright future. Your gift will help make this future possible.

Gifts at all levels are warmly welcomed!

Warm regards –

Theresa M. Armendarez
Executive Director

We are incredibly saddened by the violence and senseless racism that has affected black communities for generations. Higher Edge’s mission is aimed at leveling the playing field, of supporting young people in our community who are our country’s future. We believe that Black History should be a requirement – not elective – in every school across the country. And that the time to enact policies to end systemic racism and racial inequalities is now.

We commit to working with community partners to advance racial equity in public education; to listening; to educating; to being anti-racist, and to taking action to do the hard work necessary for lasting, meaningful change.
