Amanda was the third employee to be hired at Higher Edge and was instrumental in creating the Success Program, which supports our students through till their college graduation.

Her unwavering kindness and genuine sense of believing in all students, the manner in which she helped dreams come to fruition established her as a leader. But she was also a role model and a mentor.

To now call her Amanda Klay, JD is a privilege. Her journey to becoming an immigration lawyer is inspiring and we can only imagine how many more lives she will impact for the better.

This is Shawn and Shane. Four years ago, they committed to Morehouse College and on May 21st they will each respectively earn their Bachelor’s degrees.

They are not alone.

In the coming weeks, 19 of their Higher Edge peers will graduate too, from schools including: UCONN, Southern CT State University, Norte Dame, Quinnipiac and Hofstra.

Their futures are literally about to begin, degrees and diplomas in hand. Their accomplishments speak for themselves but what makes their successes so impressive is that they are the first in their family to make the dream of graduating college a reality.
